I'm working on a master for a resin project of the Chevy HHR. This is a Road Ripper toy that was a tether "remote control" and is about 1/26 scale. Detailed nicely (for a toy) and will build into a nice master I think...it has "the look" and looks "right". I've got a 1:1 HHR, so I have accurate reference material! After cutting out the windows, removing bumpers, headlights, grille & running boards, I'll massage the body and correct things that aren't quite accurate. I'll build masters of all available wheels, and optional parts for the SS model. The donor chassis is a Revell PT Cruiser convertible, which has the same basic layout as an HHR in relation to suspension, drivetrain, fuel tank, exhaust, etc. A few corrections and it fits like a glove. Will have to scratch build the interior, that will be the toughest part. Then to find a caster & possibly get an assembly kit available! Any comments or suggestions are welcome from this experienced crew here!
