Yet another '40 Ford Standard Coupe WIP

I guess I'll get on the '40 Ford bandwagon too. Wink Actually....

This is a long time work in progress for me.

I started with the Revell Goodguys '40 Ford Coupe street rod. So far I've sectioned the body about four scale inches and the other day I did a sloppy top chop on it. The chop is around 6 scale inches.

Originally I had planned to do a mild custom adding only fender skirts and maybe changing the head and tail lamps. Somewhere along the line I got a wild hair and decided to go full tilt bozo with it.

I'm still deciding on what other mods to make and on things like body color and wheels. I'll probably build the running gear straight out of the box and just add some wires and plumbing.

The following shots were taken right after chopping the top and troweling a bit of putty in some of the holes. There's a LOT more work to do and unfortunately I can only spend a few minutes at a time working on it.  I did a quick and dirty mockup using masking tape to hold things together.

Thanks for looking...
